Abstract

Oil and gas exploration in the Baiyun Sag has lasted for more than 20 years,with discoveries mainly concentrated in the Zhujiang Formation and Zhuhai Formation.However,the current important ex-ploration direction is the middle-deep Paleogene.Due to the fewer reflection axes in the high-position target layers of the Paleogene in the Baiyun Sag,their great burial depth,and the difficulty in distinguishing reservoirs using corresponding petrophysical sensitive parameters;coupled with the limited number of wells and low modeling accuracy,it has been challenging to find suitable prediction methods for middle-deep reservoirs.Additionally,single inversion approaches rarely solve the problem of lithology prediction.To ad-dress these issues,a feasibility analysis of seismic data and logging data in the area was conducted,and a three-step method was used to carry out research on multi-type reservoir prediction technology based on generalized sensitive parameters.First,starting from well and seismic data,forward models of multiple types were set up to determine the lithologic assemblages and reservoir thickness under the seismic reflection char-acteristics of high-position target layers in the study area.Second,generalized sensitive parameters were optimized based on seismic and logging data,and inversion tests were carried out,followed by three-fre-quency volume attribute fusion considering the full seismic frequency band.Finally,based on the results of inversion and attribute fusion,multi-type reservoir and physical property predictions were conducted start-ing from the forward-modeled lithologic assemblage schemes.This technical approach innovatively in-tegrates the advantages of three methods,overcoming the limitations of single methods,thus achieving accu-rate prediction of high-position reservoirs in the study area.
