Oil source correlation and geological significance of Yixian Formation in the eastern slope zone of Naiman Sag

Abstract
In order to clarify the source of the crude oil in the Lower Cretaceous Yixian Formation of the eastern slope zone in the Naiman Sag,analytical methods such as physical properties of crude oil,group composition,and saturated hydrocarbon gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS)were used to analyze the geochemical characteristics of the crude oil and source rocks in the eastern slope zone of the Naiman Sag.The results indicate that the crude oil from the Yixian Formation in the eastern slope zone has high density and viscosity,and is a common heavy heavy oil.There are mainly two sets of source rocks de-veloped in the eastern slope zone,namely the Yixian Formation and the lower part of the Jiufotang Forma-tion.The Yixian Formation is a good source rock with a low-maturity to maturity degree of evolution,and the lower part of the Jiufotang Formation is a good to high-quality source rock,also with a low-maturity to maturity degree of evolution.Through oil source correlation analysis,the crude oil in the Yixian Formation mainly comes from the mudstone of the Yixian Formation,which is a"self-generating and self-storing"type.The discovery of the"self-generating and self-storing"type in the Yixian Formation has expanded the exploration area of the eastern slope zone and provided a basis for the next exploration.关键词
