摘要

Abstract

FLASH radiotherapy(FLASH-RT),an emerging radiotherapy technique,has garnered substantial attention in recent years.By irradiating the tumor tissue with an ultra-high dose rate in a very short period of time,the technology effectively kills the tumor cells while significantly reducing the damage to the surround-ing normal tissues.This study systematically described the origin and development of FLASH-RT,explored its biological mechanisms,and comprehensively comprehended its research progress,with a view to advanc-ing the basic and clinical research of FLASH-RT.The results of bibliometric analysis based on the Web of Sci-ence Core Collection and CNKI database showed that foreign-language studies on FLASH-RT showed a rapid growth trend,with a total of 949 related studies published by authors from 52 countries,of which the United States(384,40.5%),China(107,11.3%),and Switzerland(105,11.1%)were the main research forces.In con-trast,the CNKI database included only 30 studies in Chinese,with fewer publications and a slower growth trend.The main focus of FLASH-RT research included its biological effects,technical equipment,effective-ness,safety,and preclinical cell and animal experiments.
