摘要
Abstract
The rupture of vulnerable atherosclerotic plaques in the head and carotid arteries,detachment and occlusion of distal vessels,and thrombosis secondary to intraplaque hemorrhage constitute an important pathogenesis of ischemic stroke.Early identification of atherosclerotic vulnerable plaques in the head and neck arteries is particularly important for preventing ischemic stroke and guiding clinical treatment;computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging examinations provide an important basis for the diagnosis of atherosclerotic vulnerable plaques in the head and neck arteries and an opportunity to elucidate the relation-ship between vulnerable plaques and ischemic stroke.This review summarized the research progress in com-puted tomography and magnetic resonance imaging in the assessment of carotid artery vulnerable plaques.关键词
