高分子聚合物溶液在突扩圆管中流动模拟研究
Simulation Study on Flow of High Polymer Solution in Sudden Expansion Circular Pipe

Abstract
The flow velocity distribution,pressure dis-tribution,turbulent kinetic energy distribution and vor-ticity distribution of pure water and polyacrylamide(PAM)solution(PAM mass concentration of 15 mg/L)in a sudden expansion circular pipe(with sudden ex-pansion ratio of 1∶1.5)were studied by numerical simu-lation.Both fluids exhibit the same flow velocity distri-bution characteristics.The flow velocity of the fluid de-creases after passing through the sudden expansion sec-tion and a dead zone is formed near the sudden expan-sion surface.Compared with the upstream straight pipe section,the flow velocity is significantly reduced after the sudden expansion surface.After the sudden expan-sion surface,as the flow continues,a fully developed flow is formed again.Compared with pure water,the thickness of the boundary layer at the pipe wall of PAM solution is larger,the static pressure of PAM solution is less than that of pure water,and the pressure growth rate after sudden expansion surface is also significantly slowed down.The length of the reflux zone is not only related to the type of flowing medium,but also to the Reynolds number of the fluid.For the two fluids,the larger the Reynolds number of the fluid,the smaller the fluid energy loss and the smaller the drag coefficient along the way.Compared with pure water,PAM solu-tion has a larger minimum turbulent energy region in the upstream straight pipe section and a smaller maxi-mum turbulent energy region after passing through the sudden expansion surface.The turbulence kinetic en-ergy contour lines of PAM solution near the sudden ex-pansion surface are sparser,and the growth rate of tur-bulence kinetic energy slows down.After adding PAM,the maximum vorticity area after sudden expansion of the surface is significantly reduced,and the vortex in-tensity decreases,thereby achieving drag reduction.关键词
