Abstract

During the commissioning of LNG terminal,in order to avoid the stress damagecaused by LNG en-tering the pipeline directly,it is necessary to pre-cool the pipeline with low temperature nitrogen.Based on the pre-cooling problem of the unloading pipeline at a LNG terminal,the pre-cooling method of"low-temperature nitrogen pre-cooling and low-temperature liquid nitrogen spraying"is adopted to simulate the temperature change during the pre-cooling process with the help of the ANSYS Fluent software discrete phase model.Adding liquid nitrogen spraying along the pipeline can effectively reduce the temperature of nitrogen gas to meet the pre-cooling requirements of long-distance pipelines.The larger the liquid nitrogen spraying volume,the lower the outlet temperature of the pipeline,and the better the pre cooling effect of the pipeline.for the pre-cooling of large-size and long-distance pipelines,the pre-cooling of pipelines by add-ing liquid nitrogen spraying ports along the pipeline can meet the requirements of pre-cooling of the pipe-line.
