Abstract
Objective To explore the effects of peer education on the psychological state and quality of life of elderly patients with gastrointestinal bleeding.Methods A total of 120 elderly patients with gastrointestinal bleeding treated in First Hospital of Huai'an City affiliated to Nanjing Medical University from March 2021 to January 2025 were prospectively selected and divided into observation group(n=60)and control group(n=60)according to different intervention methods.The con-trol group received routine nursing care,while the observation group received peer education on the basis of the control group.The changes in the psychological state,quality of life,and self-management ability of the two groups were compared.Results After intervention,the scores of anxiety and depression of HADS scale in the two groups were lower than those in the same group before intervention,and the observation group was lower than the control group(P<0.05);the scores of SF-36 and AHSMSRS in the two groups were higher than those in the same group before intervention,and the observation group was high-er than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of peer education in elderly patients with gastrointestinal bleeding can alleviate their negative emotions,enhance their quality of life,and improve their self-management abilities.关键词
