Abstract

This study aims to enhance the accuracy of detecting breakdown defects in capacitor voltage transformers(CVT)through capacitance measurements.Two schemes are introduced to address the issues of low precision of C11 measurements and the influence of temperature on capacitance calculations.First,the low-voltage shield method with full-shield reverse wiring is employed to boost the precision of C11 capacitance testing.Secondly,the isomorphic-isotropic isothermal proportional method is utilized to adjust the capacitance to its factory temperature before calculating the initial value difference,thereby diminishing temperature effects on the outcomes.Finally,a case study involving a CVT capacitor component breakdown confirms that the proposed approach can effectively identify single-chip capacitor component faults,significantly enhancing test accuracy and preventing erroneous assessments of the CVT′s condition.
