镉离子对椰壳生物炭吸附水体中壬基酚的影响研究
Effects of cadmium ions on the adsorption of nonylphenol in waters by coconut shell biochar

Abstract
To investigate the effect of Cd(Ⅱ)on the adsorption of nonylphenol(NP)in water by coconut shell biochar(CSBC),this study designed NP single component and Cd(Ⅱ)-NP coadsorption experiments.The effect of initial solution pH,CSBC dosage,pollutant concentration,and coexisting ions on the adsorption performance of NP to CSBC were compared and investigated.Adsorption isotherm and other model analysis,as well as characterization results such as specific surface area and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR),were conducted to analyze and discuss the interaction mechanism of Cd(Ⅱ)on NP adsorption to CSBC.The results indicated that pH was an important factor affecting adsorption.When Cd(Ⅱ)was present,the appropriate initial pH changed from neutral to strongly acidic.When the CSBC dosage was 1 g·L-1,the equilibrium adsorption capacity was 2.1 times(6.93 mg·g-1)that of NP single component adsorption.In addition,the adsorption process of NP on CSBC followed Langmuir and pseudo-first-order(kinetic models),and the adsorption capacity was limited by the pore structure.Thermodynamic analysis showed that NP adsorption was a spontaneous exothermic process.Cd(Ⅱ)exhibited a promoting rather than competitive effect on the adsorption of NP by CSBC,which was attributed to the different adsorption mechanisms of CSBC towards NP and Cd(Ⅱ),such as π-π stacking and hydrogen bonding with NP,while ion exchange and complexation with Cd(Ⅱ)occur.On the other hand,it was mainly based on the complexation bridging effect between adsorbed Cd(Ⅱ)and the hydroxyl groups of NP molecules in aqueous solution.The effect depends on the degree of ion exchange between Cd(Ⅱ)and the surface cations of CSBC under strong acid conditions,as well as the number of complexation sites between Cd(Ⅱ)and oxygen-containing functional groups(—OH and—COOH).The promoting effect of Cd(Ⅱ)on the adsorption of NP by CSBC provides a beneficial theoretical reference for treating heavy metal and organic compound pollution by biochar adsorption.关键词
