Manufacturers' Competitive Licensing Strategies for Low-Carbon Technologies under the Carbon Trading System

Abstract
Technological innovation is the urgent requirement for China's green and high-quality devel-opment,and low-carbon technology authorisation is the way to lead the green change of industry.To clarify the internal mechanism of different low-carbon technology authorisation methods to promote the wide application of low-carbon technology,this paper explored the low-carbon technology licensing competition among manufacturers in the context of"manufacturing-sales"secondary supply chain,and by adopting the method of Stackelberg's game,compared and contrasted the three scenarios of adopting no-technology licensing,fixed-royalty licensing and unit-royalty licensing,including the effects of car-bon trading prices,the degree of manufacturer competition and licensing costs,changes in emission re-duction rates,wholesale and retail product prices,demand,manufacturer profits and seller profits,and the extent to which each licensing strategy can be applied.The conclusions show that low-carbon tech-nology supply manufacturers are more likely to choose a fixed royalty licensing strategy when the level of competition between manufacturers is low,and vice versa;that a fixed royalty licensing strategy has a better emission reduction effect and lower wholesale and retail prices than a unit royalty licensing strat-egy;that low-carbon technology supply manufacturers can make higher profits after licensing,and are more likely to adopt a unit royalty licensing strategy than a unit royalty licensing strategy,and that low-carbon technology supply manufacturers can make higher profits after patent licensing,and they are more inclined to adopt the unit-royalty licensing strategy.关键词
