摘要

Abstract

To evaluate the biofortification effects of different exogenous selenium sources on muskmelon,a field experiment was conducted via the cultivar Guimi 12 as the test material.A randomized block design was adopted,with no selenium fertil-izer used as the control.Different Se fertilizers of the same concentration were sprayed on plants to investigate their effects on leaf photosynthetic performance,single-fruit weight,fruit quality parameters(soluble solids content,total acidity,and vitamin C content),and fruit selenium content.The results revealed significant differences in the efficiency of selenium biofortifica-tion among the treatments.Under the T1 treatment,the net photosynthetic rate of melon leaves increased significantly,result-ing in the highest single-fruit weight.The fruits presented the highest soluble solids and vitamin C contents,the lowest organic acid content,and a selenium content of 0.034 mg·kg-1,meeting the standard for selenium-enriched agricultural products.In conclusion,foliar application of Bala organic selenium fertilizer at an appropriate concentration can increase both the yield and quality of muskmelon,resulting in successful selenium biofortification.
