Transcriptomic Study on Daphniphyllum Calycinum as a Species of Characteristic Li Medicine

Abstract
To study the transcriptomic characteristics of the Hainan specialty Li medicine,Daphniphyllum calycinum,the authors used its tender leaves as experimental materials and sequenced them via eukaryotic de novo transcriptome sequencing.The results revealed that the sequencing data averaged 6.29 Gb,and the assembly yielded 175 128 unigenes.A total of 106 769 unigenes were annotated in the NR database through functional annotation and classification,and the highest sequence simi-larity was found in grapes.A total of 83 022 unigenes were annotated in the NT database.The GO database annotates 47 885 unigenes into three categories:biological processes,molecular functions,and cellular components.Annotations for 94 658 unigenes were annotated into 25 categories in the KOG database,with the majority under general function prediction(R),while the KEGG database contained 48 965 unigenes,which were associated mainly with five level 1 and 75 level 2 metabolic pathways.A total of 7 624 unigenes were involved in the transcription factor(TF)classification of Daphniphyllum calycinum.During the TF classification of Daphniphyllum calycinum,624 unigene genes played a role,accounting for 44 primary tran-scription factor categories.SSR(simple sequence repeat)analysis revealed that 61 222 unigenes presented SSRs,22 784 unigenes presented at least one SSR,and 12 529 SSRs played a role in compound formation.This study involved the se-quencing and examination of the transcriptome of Daphniphyllum calycinum leaves to decipher its gene activity,providing essential data support for further research into its functional genes.关键词
