Research on the Differentiated Pathways for Enhancing the Quality of Education for International Students in China

摘要

Abstract

To enhance the quality of education for international students in different types of universities in China,based on the data collected from 425 universities admitting over 200 international students in 2018,the fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis(fsQCA)method was applied to examine six dimensions of admission processes,education and training,faculties,teaching management,management services,and resource support.Significant differences were identified in pathways to improving education quality across"Double First-Class"universities,general universities,and vocational colleges.Education quality improvement was found to depend on the interplay of multiple factors.Optimizing resource allocation and service capabilities was effective for"Double First-Class"universi-ties.General universities needed to enhance resource improvement and student quality.Vocational colleges required emphasis on admission quality.
