Toxicity and Field Control Effects of Spirotetramat and Dinotefuran Against Jujube Pseudococcus comstocki

Abstract

The study aims to determine the field control efficacy of a combination of Spirotetramat and Dinotefuran against Jujube Pseudococcus comstocki Kuwana.Laboratory toxicity tests and field plot experiments were carried out.The results showed that the maximum synergic effect between Spirotetramat and Dinotefuran was obtained at active ingredient ratio of 1∶2.At this ratio,Spirotetramat·dinotefuran 30%SC provided a good effect on Pseudococcus comstocki.The efficacy at a 1 000-time dilution reached 89.5%after 14 days of treatment,significantly outperforming dinotefuran 20%SC at 800-time dilution and Spirotetramat 22.4%SC at 1 000-time dilution.Therefore,Spirotetramat·dinotefuran 30%SC is suitable for effective control of Pseudococcus comstocki,with a recommended application rate of 1 000~2 000-time dilution during the early stage of nymphs.
