Abstract

The"replacing small with large"approach is an important strategy to address the low efficiency and high costs of aging wind farms while promoting sustainable development.Compared with conventional wind farm develop-ment,"replacing small with large"wind farms have accumulated years of operational data.Making full use of such data provides an accurate basis for designing"replacing small with large"schemes.This study investigates a correction method for wind resource estimation in"replacing small with large"wind farms by increasing wind measurement points and correcting nacelle wind measurement data.The results show that supplementing wind measurement data can effectively control the deviation between the calculated and actual values of wind speed,dominant wind energy,and other parame-ters within 5%,significantly improving accuracy.
