Spatial-Temporal Patterns and Convergence Analysis at the Level of Development of New Quality Productive Forces in National Major Strategic Regions

Abstract
New quality productive force is an important engine for promoting high-quality economic development,achieving Chinese-style modernization and building a new development pattern.National major strategic regions play a leading role in the development of new quality productive forces,and are also important carriers to promote regional coordinated development.Expanding and improving the evaluation index system of new quality productive forces,quantitatively analyzing the new quality productive forces of national major strategic regions,and scientifically understanding the development status of new quality productive forces are of great significance to the cultivation of new quality productive forces and regional coordinated development.In the existing studies,there is still room for improvement in the scientificity and rationality of the evaluation index system of new quality productive forces,which does not fully reflect the characteristics of"new quality",and there is still a lack of systematic research on the quantitative analysis of new quality productive forces in the national major strategic regions. This paper constructs the evaluation index system from five dimensions of new science and technology,new labor,new production mode,new industrial form,and new factor supply,and adopts the entropy value method to measure the development level of new quality productive forces in the national major strategic regions from 2012 to 2022,and analyzes the dynamic evolution,regional differences,and convergence through the methods of kernel density estimation,Dagum Gini coefficient,σ-convergence,and β-convergence.It is found that the development levels of new quality productive forces in all national major strategic regions are steadily increasing,forming a development pattern in 2022 of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao、Yangtze River Delta、Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei、Yangtze River Economic Belt and Yellow River Basin from high to low.Kernel density estimation shows that there is a"low-level club"phenomenon in the development of new quality productive forces,with large absolute differences among provinces and a trend of multi-polarization.The Gini coefficient shows that the regional differences are narrowing,and the contribution rate of regional differences is inter-regional differences、intra-regional differences and hypervariable densities differences from high to low,with the largest inter-regional differences between the Yangtze River Delta and the Yellow River Basin,and the largest intra-regional differences between Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei.In terms of σ-convergence,there is σ-convergence in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei,Yangtze River Delta and Yangtze River Economic Belt.In terms of β-convergence,there is absolute β-convergence in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei,Yangtze River Delta and Yellow River Basin,and conditional β-convergence in the Yangtze River Delta,Yangtze River Economic Belt and Yellow River Basin,and there are differences in the speed of convergence and spatial effects among regions. The main innovations of this paper are as follows:first,it puts forward a new framework for analyzing the new quality productive forces,fully considers the changes of the constituent elements of the new quality productive forces in the new era background,and enriches the theoretical research of the new quality productive forces.Secondly,a multi-dimensional evaluation index system is constructed,including 5 first-level indicators,12 second-level indicators,and 33 third-level indicators,which can fully reflect the characteristics of"new quality",scientifically and accurately measure the development level of the new quality productive forces,and expand the quantitative analysis of the new quality productive forces.Thirdly,from the perspective of national major strategic regions,a systematic analysis is conducted to clarify the development level,spatial-temporal pattern and convergence of new quality productive forces in national major strategic regions,enriching the research on new quality productive forces from the spatial scale. The research of this paper is conducive to grasping the current situation and development law of the new quality productive forces in the national major strategic regions,scientifically recognizing the development level,dynamic evolution,regional differences and convergence characteristics of the new quality productive forces,clarifying the existing problems and shortcomings,and then prescribing the right medicine and making up for the shortcomings,so as to provide the decision-making basis for further promoting the development of the new quality productive forces in each region and the regional coordinated development.关键词
