Effects of different crop rotation patterns on root metabolism and rhizosphere microbial community structure of tobacco at rosette period

Abstract
[Objective]This article aims to understand the effects of different crop rotation patterns on major soil nutrients,root metabolism and rhizosphere microbial communities during the rosette period of tobacco and to explore interactions among soil-tobacco-microorganisms for optimizing the paddy-upland crop rotation patterns for tobacco production in Yunnan province.[Method]The six rotation patterns of tobacco→quinoa-tobacco(NCN),tobacco→barley-tobacco(NHN),tobacco→fava bean-tobacco(NVN),rice→quinoa-tobacco(OCN),rice→barley-tobacco(OHN)and rice→fava bean-tobacco(OCN)were used respectively.Measuring soil nutrient chemicals and metabolic com-pounds of roots using metabolome and macrogenome strategy at rosette period of planted tobacco aimed to provide preliminary insights into soil-tobacco-rhizosphere microorganisms intrinsic interactions under different crop rotation patterns.[Result]Compared with upland-upland rotations,paddy-upland rotations significantly improved nutrient chemical properties of soil,and increased the abundance and diversity of Bacteroidetes,and Euryarchaeota,it inhibited the growth of aerobic microorganisms through antagonistic or competitive mechanisms.In con-trast,the increase in aerobic pathogenic microbial populations in the upland-upland rotational cropping pattern significantly stimulated tobacco resistance-related pathways,which in turn produced large amounts of phenolics and terpenoids.Based on canonical correlation analysis,it was found that available potassium and available phosphorus mainly influenced the structure of soil microbial communities in tobacco plantations,especially Kaistella daneshvariae and Nibribacter ruber of the Bacteroidetes,and it was found that pH and water-soluble chlorine might be the key drivers for the growth of aerobic pathogenic microbial populations in the paddy-upland rotational cropping.[Conclusion]It is found that tobacco after paddy-upland rotations mainly inhibits the growth of rhizosphere aerobic pathogenic microorganisms through interactions with mi-croorganisms and thus maintains or promotes normal growth and development,and the dynamic internal correlation between soil-tobacco-rhizo-sphere microorganisms provides a theoretical basis for green and sustainable production in the core tobacco areas of Yunnan province.关键词
