摘要

Abstract

To predict the load-bearing capacity of pressure vessel structures under complex loading conditions,the newly revised Chinese standard for pressure vessel analysis and design GB/T 4732-2024 introduces a direct calculation method in Appendix C of Part 5 for determining the limit,shakedown,and ratcheting load boundaries of components.Based on the upper and lower bound theorems,this method can effectively address shakedown and ratchet analysis problems under arbitrary geometric structures and combined thermo-mechanical loading conditions.To assist engineering designers in better understanding and applying the new standard,this paper presents an alternative direct calculation method called the stress compensation method and explains its fundamental concept and analysis procedure.Taking the common oblique nozzle in pressure vessels as an example,the results of the stress compensation method are compared with those obtained from incremental elastic-plastic analysis.The results demonstrate that the stress compensation method significantly improves computational efficiency while maintaining accuracy,enabling rapid determination of shakedown and ratchet boundaries under thermo-mechanical loading.The direct calculation method combines efficiency and accuracy,providing an alternative to traditional methods for assessing load-bearing capacity of complex geometries.This advancement holds significant practical importance for promoting progress in pressure vessel design technology and implementation of the standard.
