Abstract

In order to improve yield and cultivation techniques of triticale in arid regions,this study investigates the potential of amino-oligosaccharides in enhancing the drought resistance of triticale.This experiment used amino-oligosaccharides at different concentrations to spray triticale,combined with phenotype observation and physiological index measurements.The optimal concentration was se-lected for RNA-seq analysis to explore the molecular mechanism by which amino-oligosaccharides reg-ulate triticale's response to drought stress.The results showed that amino-oligosaccharides diluted 500-fold significantly enhanced the normal growth form of seedlings under drought stress by increas-ing Pro and SS contents,while decreasing MDA and H2O2 contents.A total of 8 908 genes(6 309 up-regulated and 2 599 downregulated)had significant changes in expression.Upregulated genes were predominantly involved in multi-organism processes,membrane,pollination and other biological ac-tivities.These genes participated in protein processing in the endoplasmic reticulum,plant-pathogen interaction,biosynthesis of amino acids and other metabolic processes.In conclusion,spraying triti-cale with 500-fold dilution of amino-oligosaccharides helps maintain the physiological and metabolic stability through various mechanisms,ultimately enhance the plant's overall drought resistance.
