Abstract

In order to clarify the control effect of pile-supported reinforced treatment on settlement deformation of widened em-bankment,the field experiment of pile-supported reinforced widened embankment of Wuhu-Hefei Expressway was carried out.The pile-soil pressure,pore water pressure,foundation settlement deformation and horizontal displacement of slope toe during filling and preloading period were monitored,and the influence of filling height and pile spacing on soil arching effect and de-formation control effect of pile-supported reinforced embankment was analyzed.The results show that the development process of soil pressure during embankment filling pile mainly includes three stages:the formation of soil arching effect,the exertion of soil arching effect and the stabilization of preloading consolidation.Under the same pile spacing,the soil pressure of pile body increases significantly with the increase of filling height,while the increase of soil pressure between piles is small,and the pile-soil stress ratio increases by about 1.6.Under the same filling height,with the increase of pile spacing,the soil arc-hing effect is weakened,and the soil load between piles is increased by 12.8 kPa.The pore water pressure in the soft founda-tion shows an intermittent growth trend,the increment of pore water pressure under the action of pile-supported reinforce-ment is only 1/5 of the increment of filling load,and the excess pore water pressure dissipates rapidly during the preloading period,the post-construction settlement and maximum differential settlement of the widened embankment after pile-supported reinforcement treatment meet the requirements of expressway settlement control,which can ensure the stability of the embank-ment slope of the free section.
