Abstract

To attain economical and efficient maintenance of offshore wind farms,a predictive opportunity maintenance(PdOM)strategy is introduced.This strategy relies on the dynamic updating of maintenance information.Two key issues are addressed during the development of the PdOM strategy:the handling of dynamic updates of maintenance information and the establishment of the complex interrelationship between maintenance information and maintenance opportunities.First,a dynamic maintenance information matrix is established to process the input and updates of maintenance information during decision modeling and optimization.Second,maintenance opportunities are identified based on economic relevance,wind speed,and accessibility,while considering the complex interrelationships between multidimensional information and maintenance opportunities.An objective function and constraint conditions for the PdOM strategy of offshore wind farms are formulated.By leveraging the dynamic maintenance information matrix for ongoing updates,the PdOM strategy is adjusted based on refreshed maintenance information,enabling continuous predictive maintenance.Finally,a case study of an offshore wind farm with 56 wind turbines demonstrates that the proposed PdOM effectively utilizes maintenance information and opportunities,achieving economical and efficient maintenance of multiple wind turbines and components.It allows for prompt updates of maintenance conditions according to changes in information and facilitates dynamic adjustments of the maintenance strategy to avoid unnecessary actions,thereby ensuring cost-effectiveness.
