Investigation and Evaluation of Different Goat Breeding Methods

Abstract
This study aimed to investigate the impact of different feeding patterns on the growth performance and reproductive efficiency of goats.By comparing the breeding data of a farmer family ranch operated by a farmer in Mulaoyuan Township,Shidian County from 2013 to 2023,the growth and reproductive performance of goats under three feeding patterns:pure grazing,grazing with appropriate supplementary feeding,and semi-grazing with semi-housing were analyzed.It was found that with the optimization of the feeding pattern,the average body weight,conception rate,lambing rate and breeding rate of goats in each stage were significantly improved.Specifically,the semi-grazing and semi-housing feeding pattern performed best in improving the growth performance and reproductive efficiency of goats,which was superior to grazing combined with appropriate supplementary feeding and pure grazing pattern.These results highlight the importance of balanced nutrition in the healthy reproduction of goats and offer insights for enhancing the efficiency of goat breeding.关键词
