Effect of Pricking and Cupping at Changqiang and Chengshan Acupoints on Postoperative Pain in Mixed Hem-orrhoids and Its Influence on Serum Levels of 5-HT

Abstract
Objective To evaluate the effect of pricking and cupping at Changqiang and Chengshan acu-points in alleviating postoperative pain in mixed hemorrhoids and its influence on serum levels of serotonin(5-HT).Methods A total of 140 patients with stage Ⅲ mixed hemorrhoids undergoing surgery from September 2023 to January 2024 were randomized into an observation group and a control group,with 70 cases in each group.The observation group received pricking and cupping at GV1 and BL57 on the 1st,3rd and 5th day after surgery,while the control group received oral paracetamol and tramadol hydrochloride tablets.Serum levels of 5-HT were measured,and pain scores at different time points after the first cupping session(day 1)were recorded to generate the pain curve.Results The effect of pricking and cupping at Changqiang and Chengshan points was effective at 0.5 h and reached the peak analgesia at 3 h,and the ser-um levels of 5-HT in the observation group were lower than those in the control group on the 1st,3rd and 5th days after surgery(P＜0.05).Conclusion Pricking and cupping at Changqiang and Chengshan acupoints has a good analgesic effect,which is simple and effective,and can be widely used to relieve anal pain after mixed hemorrhoid surgery.关键词
