Selection and Comprehensive Evaluation of Stuffing Characteristics of Non-heading Chinese Cabbage

Abstract
To systematically evaluate the stuffing characteristics of non-heading Chinese cabbage and identify high-quality cultivars for stuffing,this study investigated 12 varieties through agronomic,physicochemical,and nutritional analyses.The stuffing characteristics were comprehensively assessed using correlation analysis,principal component analysis(PCA),membership function evaluation,and hierarchical cluster analysis.The results showed that there were significant variability across 13 stuffing-related traits of 12 non-heading Chinese cabbage varieties,with coefficients of variation ranging from 2.53% to 42.28%.Correlation analysis demonstrated that single plant weight exhibited significant associations with plant height,leaf length,leaf width,and stuffing yield.PCA reduced the trait matrix to 4 principal components,identifying single plant weight,stuffing rate,plant moisture content,and total phenol content as critical discriminative indicators.Membership function analysis ranked P5 as the optimal cultivar,while hierarchical clustering(euclidean distance=6)stratified the germplasm into 3 distinct groups:P5 of superior stuffing properties;P4,P3,P9,P11,P6,P7,P8 of intermediate quality;and P10,P2,P1,P12 of suboptimal characteristics.The above results can provide theoretical references for the selection and breeding of stuffing varieties for non-heading Chinese cabbage.关键词
