Abstract
Objective To observe the impact of VR technology combined with weight-bearing gait training on walking function recovery in elderly stroke patients with hemiparesis.Methods Sixty-three elderly stroke patients treated in the Rehabilitation Medi-cine Department of Zhongren Elderly Nursing Hospital in Jinshan District,Shanghai,from October 2022 to January 2024,were ran-domly divided into three groups,each with 21 patients.All the three groups received routine rehabilitation training.The first control group underwent weight-bearing treadmill walking training in addition to routine rehabilitation.The second control group received VR technology treatment in addition to routine rehabilitation.The observation group received VR technology combined with weight-bear-ing gait training,five times per week for a total of four weeks.Berg Balance Scale(BBS)and Tinetti Performance Oriented Mobility Assessment(POMA)were used for assessment before and after treatment,along with Functional Ambulation Category Scale(FAC)grading.Results Compared to pre-treatment,BBS and POMA scores significantly increased in all the three groups after treatment(P＜0.05).When compared to the control group,the observation group showed greater improvement in scores than the other two groups(P＜0.05).FAC grading also significantly improved in all the three groups after treatment(P＜0.05).The observation group demonstrated more pronounced improvement in FAC grading compared to the control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion Virtual reality technology combined with weight-bearing gait training can enhance walking function in elderly stroke patients.关键词
