Abstract

To improve the mycelium biomass of Pleurotus ostreatus liquid spawn,a single-factor experiment was conduct-ed to analyze the effects of 5 carbon sources and 5 nitrogen sources on mycelial growth.Response surface methodology was then used to further optimize the liquid culture medium system for Pleurotus ostreatus,and the optimized liquid cul-ture was compared with solid spawn for cultivation.The results showed that the optimal formula of Pleurotus ostreatus liquid spawn cultivation system was soluble starch 50 g·L-1,soybean meal 34 g·L-1,MgSO4 1.25 g·L-1,KH2PO4 2 g·L-1 and vitamin B1 20 mg·L-1.The yield of mycelium biomass under this formula was 35.97 g·L-1,which was about 3.5 times higher than before optimization.The cultivation trial of Pleurotus ostreatus revealed that the optimized liquid spawn culture system shortened the production cycle to 34 days,which was 21 days shorter than that of the solid strain.In summary,the liquid culture medium formulation optimized by response surface methodology can produce high-quality Pleurotus ostreatus liquid spawn.
