Abstract
The"Sanjiao theory"and"Xuanfu theory"both originated from The Yellow Emperor's Inner Canon.These two concepts exhibit high physiological similarity,functional correlation,and pathological interconnectedness in their origins,formation,and development.This paper integrates the understanding of the"Sanjiao theory"and"Xuanfu theory"historical physicians and clinical experiences of practitioners in treating ocular diseases through the principle of"unblocking the Sanjiao and opening Xuanfu".It explores the therapeutic method of"Sanjiao Opens Xuan"for ocular diseases and provides an alternative perspective on addressing Xuanfu obstruction in eye disorders.Both Sanjiao and Xuanfu embody the dialectical unity of structure and function,with their treatments emphasizing"unblocking".The eyes,located at the upper body,rely on nourishment from Qi and blood.When Sanjiao is unobstructed,ensuring smooth flow of Qi and fluids,it serves as the pivot connecting Sanjiao and Xuanfu thereby opening the gate of Xuanfu.Obstruction of Sanjiao and closure of Xuanfu may result from deficiency or excess.Thus,the"Sanjiao opens Xuan"method requires careful differentiation of etiology and adherence to disease mechanisms,tailored to specific syndromes.This approach focuses on eliminating pathogenic excess in Sanjiao,regulating its fluids and Qi,harmonizing its associated organs,balancing the deficiency and excess of the skin and hair follicles,opening the ocular Xuanfu,and restoring clarity and vitality to the eyes.关键词
