Abstract
Objective In order to explore the correlation of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndrome type, skin lesion severity, pruritis severity, eosinophilic count, white blood cell count and total immunoglobulin E(IgE)in adult atopic dermatitis(AD)patients. Methods A total of 180 adult AD patients were included, and the severity of skin lesions, itching, peripheral white blood cell(WBC)count, eosinophilic count, percentage of eosinophilic granulosa and serum total IgE level were statistically analyzed in patients with three syndrome types,namely,dampness-heat accumulation syndrome, spleen deficiency and dampness accumulation syndrome and blood deficiency and wind-dryness syndrome, and their relationships were compared. Results The severity of skin lesions was positively correlated with peripheral blood eosinophil count,WBC count, and serum total IgE level. The severity of skin lesions and pruritus in the dampness-heat accumulation in the skin syndrome and the blood deficiency and wind-dryness syndrome was significantly more severe than that in the spleen deficiency and dampness accumulation syndrome. The level of total IgE in the dampness-heat accumulation in the skin syndrome and the blood deficiency and wind-dryness syndrome was significantly higher than that in the spleen deficiency and dampness accumulation syndrome. Conclusion There is a certain correlation between TCM syndromes and clinical symptoms,WBC,eosinophils, and total IgE in adult patients with AD,but this relationship still needs further in-depth study and verification.关键词
