摘要

Abstract

Unilateral deafness has become a research hotspot in the field of audiology.Problems such as difficulties with speech recognition and sound source localization in noise and decline in quality of life caused by unilateral deafness have received increasing attention.Potential changes in function and neural mechanisms of the contralateral auditory pathways in unilateral hearing loss have also gradually attracted attention.This article will systematically elaborate on the impact of unilateral hearing loss on contralateral hearing and its mechanisms,audiological characteristics of contralateral hearing,and its changes in relation to intervention on the affected side,in order to increase public awareness of the need for protection and intervention of the contralateral ear in patients with unilateral deafness.
