Abstract

Tea garden carbon sequestration has a significant impact on ecosystem stability and regional environmen-tal quality,and the valorization of its ecological products is crucial for the high-quality development of the tea in-dustry.By reviewing relevant domestic and international literature on carbon sequestration and integrating the re-search foundation of our project team,this study analyzed the carbon sequestration in tea gardens in terms of ac-counting methods and pathways for value realization.The contents included a review of the accounting,certifica-tion,and market trading of tea garden carbon sequestration.The results indicate that tea garden soil and cover mate-rials are key carbon reservoirs,and planting patterns affect the level of carbon sequestration.Moreover,accounting methods play a significant role in the accuracy of carbon sequestration and market trading.Currently,the carbon se-questration trading in tea gardens faces challenges such as market structure imbalance and inconsistent standards.A comprehensive accounting system was established based on regional differences,including a fair trading platform,reasonable pricing,and policy support to promote the construction of the tea garden carbon sequestration market and the green transformation of the tea industry.
