The value of continuity of care based on Omaha system in the nursing of patients undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplantation

Abstract
Objective To explore the effectiveness of continuity of care based on the Omaha system in the nursing of patients undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.Methods A total of 180 patients who underwent hematopoietic stem cell transplantation at Zhongshan People's Hospital from January 2019 to February 2023 were selected as the research subjects,and their clinical data were retrospectively analyzed.They were divided into two groups according to different nursing plans.The control group(90 cases)received routine nursing,while the observation group(90 cases)received continuity of care based on the Omaha system in addition to the control group's nursing methods.The intervention effects of the two groups were compared.Results At the time of discharge and after 2 cycles of intervention,the scores of various dimensions of the Adult Health Self-Management Skill Rating Scale in the observation group were higher than those in the control group at the same time,and the oral pH value and serum hypoxia inducible factor-1α(HIF-1α)level were lower than those in the control group at the same time(P<0.05).The above indicators of both groups were better than before the intervention,and after two cycles of intervention,they were better than when they were released from the warehouse(P<0.05).After 2 cycles of intervention,the incidence of oral mucositis in the observation group was lower than that in the control group,and the duration of oral mucositis was shorter than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Continuity of care based on the Omaha system can improve the self-management ability of patients undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplantation,regulate their oral pH and serum HIF-1α levels,shorten the duration of oral mucositis,and reduce the incidence of oral mucositis.关键词
