Abstract

[Objective]This study conducted genetic diversity analysis of yellow camellia species in terms of active ingredients and mineral elements,in order to screen and obtain high-quality germplasm for the theoretical reference and basis of yellow camellia resource development and utilization.In order to study the genetic diversity of domestic and foreign yellow camellia species in terms of active components and mineral elements,and to screen high-quality germplasm,it will provide theoretical reference and basis for the development and utilization of high-quality yellow camellia germplasm resources.[Method]In this experiment,12 domestic and foreign yellow camellia species were collected as materials,the contents of 4 active ingredients and 15 mineral elements were determined.The comprehensive evaluation including diversity analysis,correlation analysis,principal component analysis,cluster analysis,and membership function method was conducted.[Result]The results showed that the coefficient of variation of the active components of 12 yellow camellia species ranged from 42.004%to 57.882%,the genetic diversity index ranged from 1.075 to 1.309,and the improvement potential ranged from 61.485%to 142.422%;The coefficient of variation of mineral element content is 19.267%-68.981%,the genetic diversity index is 1.011-1.358,and the improvement potential is 31.155%-106.862%;Correlation analysis showed that a total of 72 indicators have reached a significant correlation level.The correlation between mineral element content is complex but the overall synergistic effect is strong.Mineral element content has a strong inhibitory effect on active substances;Principal component analysis simplified 15 mineral elements into 5 principal components,with a cumulative variance contribution rate of 90.231%.K,Ca,Mg,P,Mo,S,N,Zn,Se,and B were selected as characteristic elements for evaluating the germplasm resources of yellow camellia;The system clustering analysis divided 12 yellow camellia species into 3 groups at a distance of 6.The results of the comprehensive evaluation using the membership function method and clustering analysis were basically consistent,with the top six high-quality germplasm being S10,S11,S5,S9,S8,and S7.[Conclusion]Overall,it indicates that there is significant variation in the content of active ingredients and mineral elements among domestic and foreign yellow camellia species,and there is rich genetic diversity,which can provide valuable genetic resources for the creation of new varieties of yellow camellia.
