Effects of Fattening Baits on Mass and Quality of Hepatopancreatic Gonads in Female Macrobrachium rosenbergii

Abstract
[Objective]To improve the reproductive quality of female Macrobrachium rosenbergii by establishing a fattening technology system,and to systematically investigate the mechanism of fattening baits on the quality characteristics of hepatopancreatic gonads in female prawn,thereby providing a theoretical basis for high-quality female prawn production.[Method]Female prawns of identical aquaculture specifications were divided into a fattening treatment group and a conventional farming control group.The color parameters(L*,a*,b*)of the hepatopancreatic gonads were quantified using a colorimeter.Total carotenoid content(TCC)was determined by spectrophotometry,fatty acid composition was analyzed via Soxhlet extraction-GC method,protein composition was assessed byan amino acid analyzer,and basic nutritional indices(moisture,crude protein,crude fat)were systematically measured.A multi-dimensional evaluation was conducted to assess the regulatory effects of fattening baits on hepatopancreatic gonads quality.[Result]The hepatopancreatic gonads mass fraction and TCC in the treatment group were significantly higher than those in the control group,measuring(7.13±0.27)%and(198.4±14.2)mg/kg versus(5.57±0.15)%and(134.1±8.3)mg/kg,respectively(P<0.05).Compared to the control group,the treatment group exhibited significantly elevated redness(a*)and yellowness(b*)(P<0.05),indicating enhanced coloration.The crude fat and crude protein contents in the treatment group's reached(21.10±0.21)%and(13.76±0.38)%,respectively,significantly surpassing the control group's values of(10.42±0.19)%and(11.19±0.42)%(P<0.05).Additionally,the treatment group demonstrated superior nutritional value in fatty acids and amino acids,with polyunsaturated fatty acids(43.05±1.78)%and essential amino acid index(95.31)exceeding the control group's(39.54±1.74)%and 85.86.[Conclusion]The fattening process significantly improves the hepatopancreatic gonads mass and quality in female M.rosenbergii,demonstrating a promising approach to cultivating high-quality female prawns.关键词
