摘要
Abstract
Objective To construct an exercise and nutritional intervention program for elderly patients with sarcopenic obesity undergoing maintenance hemodialysis, and to investigate its application effect. Methods A total of 86 elderly patients with sarcopenic obesity undergoing maintenance hemodialysis admitted to the Fifth People's Hospital of Wuxi from January 2020 to January 2023 were selected and randomly divided into an observation group and a control group(43 cases in each)using a simple random method. Both groups received routine care, while the observation group received additional exercise and nutritional interventions. The changes in nutritional indicators, limb functions, and quality of life between the two groups before and after intervention were compared. Results The levels of hemoglobin, prealbumin, and albumin in the observation group were higher than those in the control group at 3 and 6 months after the intervention, and the skeletal muscle mass index, total muscle mass, and grip strength were higher than those in the control group. The body fat percentage and visceral fat area in the observation group were lower or smaller than those in the control group, and the scores of Kidney Disease Quality of Life Short Form were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The levels and values of various indicators at the above time points in both groups improved compared to pre-intervention levels(P<0.05).Conclusion The exercise and nutritional intervention program designed for the elderly patients with sarcopenic obesity undergoing maintenance hemodialysis can help improve their nutritional status, enhance limb functions, control obesity indicators, and optimize their quality of life.关键词
