Abstract
Objective To analyze the impact of health education based on empowerment theory and multi-dimensional refined nursing on the rehabilitation quality of elderly patients with secondary epilepsy. Methods This study selected 150 elderly patients with secondary epilepsy admitted to the 900th Hospital of Joint Logistics Support Force of Chinese People's Liberation Army from January 2021 to January 2024.A simple random sampling method was used to include them in the observation group and the control group(75 cases each). Both groups received multi-dimensional refined nursing, while the observation group received additional health education based on empowerment theory. The treatment effects of two groups were compared, and the changes in cognitive function, limb function, quality of life, and self-care ability before and after intervention were compared between the two groups. Results After 2 months of intervention, the total effective rate of the observation group was 96.00%,higher than that of the control group(86.67%)(P<0.05).The observation group had higher scores on the Mini-Mental State Examination(MMSE),Fugl-Meyer Assessment(FMA),Spitzer Quality of Life Index(SQLI),and Barthel Index(BI)than the control group at the same period after 1 and 2 months of intervention(P<0.05),and both groups had higher scores at the above time points than before intervention(P<0.05).Conclusion Health education based on empowerment theory and multi-dimensional refined nursing can improve the treatment effectiveness of elderly patients with secondary epilepsy, help patients recover cognitive and limb functions, and achieve improvements in quality of life and self-care ability.关键词
