摘要

Abstract

Mining rice yield potential is one of the most important directions of rice research.Ratoon rice refers to the use of residual rhizomes to continue to germinate to form rice ears in the second or more seasons after the main crop of rice is harvested,thereby increasing land use effi-ciency and rice yield.The ratooning ability of rice is affected by factors such as genetics,environment and cultivation management,among which genetic factors play a central role.In recent years,with the development of molecular biology and genomics technology,scientists have cloned and mapped a series of genes and QTL loci related to rice ratooning ability,which provides theoretical support for efficient breeding of ratoon rice.In this paper,the genetic characteristics of ratoon rice,the identification and evaluation indexes of ratooning ability,the main QTL mapped,the cloned ratooning-related genes and their molecular regulation mechanisms were systematically expounded,and the research direction of ge-netic improvement of ratoon rice in the future was discussed.
