Abstract

With the rapid development of the economy,carbon emissions caused by activities such as fossil fuel combustion and land use change have gradually become the main factors affecting global climate change.Against the backdrop of advocating low-carbon economic development,quantitative research on carbon emissions from land use and optimization of low-carbon land use have become key areas in region-al land resource management.This paper analyzes the changes in land use in Chengdu,using direct and indirect estimation methods to calculate the relevant data of land use carbon emissions in Chengdu.Finally,the LMDI model is used to decompose and identify the main factors affecting carbon emissions from land use in Chengdu.The results indicate that from 2005 to 2020,the land use structure in Chengdu was dominated by arable land and forest land,followed by construction land,and smaller areas of water and unused land.The land use dynamics of construction land are the highest,with the largest increase in area,totaling 789.48 km2,mainly sourced from cultivated land and forest gardens;Grasslands and forest gardens are relatively stable.The total carbon emissions from land use in Chengdu have shown an increasing trend and the growth rate has slowed down.Among them,construction land is the main contributor to carbon sources,while forest land is the main contributor to carbonsinks;the intensity of carbon emissions is gradually decreasing,with 2020 only equivalent to 1/4 of 2005.The factors that promote carbon emissions include land use structure effects,economic effects,and population effects;the land use efficiency suppressed the increase in carbon emissions during all three time periods;the intensity effect of carbon emissions undergoes a process of inhibition-promotion-inhibition.The above conclusions can provide theoretical reference and guidance for the optimization of low-carbon land use in Chengdu City.
