Abstract
Flowering date,characteristics and breeding values of 24 tetraploid Hemerocallis hybrids were studied.The results revealed that 24 hybrids were all able to bloom from early June to late June.Among them,there are 6 evergreen varieties,12 semi evergreen varieties,and 6 win-ter dormant varieties.The conventional hybrid pollination technique was used to conduct hybrid breeding experiments between varieties.The re-sults showed 221 capsules were attained successfully from 2 898 pollinated flowers.The seed-setting rate was 7.6%,and seed sprouting rate was 43.86%.There were significant differences in the hybrid setting rate between different combinations of tetraploid varieties.This study could pro-vide a basis for the selection of hybrid parents in tetraploid Hemerocallis breeding.关键词
