The Construction Process of"Ziji Ren"(In-group Solidarity)

Abstract
From an organizational sociology perspective,this study employs participant observation and semi-structured in-depth interviews to analyze the"Bangong Dui"(temporary work teams)phenomenon in southeastern China's garment industry clusters.The findings reveal that these teams reconstruct traditional labor arrangements through flexible collaborative networks,exhibiting non-hierarchical,project-based organizational features that significantly differ from the"making-out games"mechanism in Burawoy's Manufacturing Consent framework.The analysis demonstrates that during labor processes and rights defense practices,these temporary workers gradually develop"Ziji Ren"(in-group)relational networks and consciousness under team leaders'guidance.The study identifies a new pathway for self-organization among informal workers,where the formation of"relational solidarity"not only overcomes individual rights-protection dilemmas but also provides new analytical dimensions for understanding labor politics in transitional China.These findings contribute to localized extensions of labor process theory and offer implications for governing flexible employment in the digital economy.关键词
