The Super Twisting Sliding Mode Control Strategy for Diode Clamped Three-level Active Power Filters

Abstract
The diode clamped three-phase three-level active power filter faces challenges in practical applications,such as the complexity of voltage balance modulation strategies,slow response speed,and insufficient system robustness under internal and external disturbances.This paper presents a three-loop super twisting sliding mode control strategy thorough analyzing the dynamics and disturbances of the active power filter system.The proposed strategy consists of three parts of a DC bus voltage loop,a capacitor voltage balance loop,and a three-phase current tracking loop.In terms of capacitor voltage balance,an innovative approach is introduced by using super twisting sliding mode control for unified direct control,avoiding the traditional complex modulation strategies.Additionally,the incorporation of an integral sliding mode surface enables faster and more accurate regulation of the DC bus voltage and voltage balance,achieving rapid stabilization of all system states.Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed control strategy improves response speed by approximately 50%compared to traditional methods,with the total harmonic distortion of the compensated grid harmonic current reduced to only 2.74%.关键词
