Waterproof Structural Design of 12 kV Switchgear

Abstract
Underground or low-lying area substations flood caused by heavy rainstorms,typhoons,and other extreme weather disasters,affects electrical safety and leads to damage to electrical equipment and widespread power outages.Therefore,this the waterproof structure of 12 kV switchgear was designed,including the main circuit,the mechanism room,the instrument room and the shielded components.The waterproof military plug and epoxy resin were combined to realize the waterproof interface.The temperature rise of the whole 12 kV switchgear was calculated,and the overall protection level(including dust and water immersion)and power frequency voltage withstand test were verified.The test results indicate that the temperature rise of the copper conductor in the switchgear is the largest at rated current,and the maximum temperature rise is 58 K.The temperature rise of the shell is relatively low and the heat dissipation of the sealing structure is uniform.There is no dust after 8 h dust prevention experiment,and no water after 48 h immersion experiment in the switchgear.Power frequency voltage of 42 kV is applied to the switchgear,and no breakdown occurrs.The structure of the designed 12 kV waterproofed switchgear is reasonable and could meet the engineering application.关键词
