Abstract

In recent years,the undergraduate academic tutorial system has been carried out in most col-leges and universities nationwide as a new type of academic guidance model.To further explore the specific effects of this system,based on a total of 456 valid questionnaires collected from undergraduates of the class of 2022 of the School of Economics and Management of an agriculture-related university in Jiangsu province from October 2022 and June 2023,this research has empirically analyzed the practical impact of the implementation of the undergraduate academic tutor system on the academic ability of ag-riculture-related undergraduates by using the difference-in-difference model.The result shows that the system has significantly improved the sense of participation in scientific research,the sense of scientific research acquisition,and the sense of scientific research belonging to agriculture-related undergraduates.However,the impact on the sense of campus belonging is not significant.To further analyze the effect of the system on the cultivation of agriculture-related innovative talents,it is found that the system sub-stantially impacts the cultivation of agriculture-related innovative talents by introducing interaction ex-periments and ductility analysis.Based on this,it puts forward relevant suggestions from the three per-spectives of universities,academic tutors,and undergraduates to promote cultivating innovative agricul-ture-related talents to make great progress.
