Forward Modeling of 3D Direct Current Resistivity Based on Fi-nite Element Method and Archie's Formula

Abstract
To deeply analyze the influences of relevant parameters on the forward response,Archie's formula is adopted to achieve forward modeling of 3D direct current resistivity based on the finite element method,which is suitable for seepage conditions.An unstructured tetrahedral mesh is used for regional discretization to accurately depict the geological model.Archie's formula is adopted to establish the intrinsic relationship between parameters such as porosity,water saturation,and rock resistivity,and a multiparameter model of the seepage field is constructed.A series of numerical simulations are conducted with a typical sandstone model and a sandstone oil-water layer model as examples to analyze the apparent resistivity responses of for-ward modeling under different Archie parameters.The results show that porosity,water saturation,cementa-tion index,and solution resistivity significantly affect the response of forward modeling.The analysis of the quantitative relationship between Archie's formula parameters and apparent resistivity provides a reference for further research on seepage fields.关键词
