Abstract

In order to improve the air quality of Shijiazhuang in winter,the source of PM2.5 in the Spring Festival of 2022-2024 was quantitatively analyzed by using the PMF model based on the data from the combined pollution and haze monitoring super station in Shijiazhuang.The influence of emergently-occurred-firework discharge to PM2.5 and the transmission characteristics were discussed.The results show that:1)The concentration of PM2.5 increased to 603 μg/m3 during firework discharged in Spring Festival 2024,serious air pollution occurred temporarily during Chinese New Year's Eve to January 1st in Chinese calendar.The concentration of typical indicators such as K,Cu,Ba,Mg2+,etc all show significant increases,while the increase in the concentration of Cl-,SO42-is significant.2)The contributions of firework discharged during Spring Festival 2022-2024(New Year's Eve to the second day of Chinese calendar)are 9.9%,23.2%,38.3%,respectively,showing an increased tendency.3)Continuous high intensity discharge of fireworks can be observed during Spring Festival 2023 and 2024,especially from New Year's Eve to the night of the first day of Chinese calendar.Moderate intensity discharge of fireworks can also be observed during the night of the 4th day to the night of the 5th day of Chinese calendar,and the night of the 14th day to the night of the 16th day of Chinese calendar.4)Effected by the weak easterly-northeast wind during Spring Festival 2023,and westerly-southeast wind convergence during Spring Festival 2024,the concentration of PM2.5 of the southeast is higher than that of the northwest in Shijiazhuang during the fireworks discharged period,and the pollutants affected by the continuous high intensity discharge of fireworks cannot be removed until the cold air from northwest came.The air quality is significantly impacted by firework discharged during Spring Festival 2023,2024.The contribution of firework shows an increase,and the pollution cannot be decontaminated when diffusion conditions were not good.The research results can provide technical support for strengthening the management of fireworks and preventing air pollution.
