中药提取物防治高糖诱导视网膜色素上皮细胞损伤的机制研究进展
Mechanism Research Progress on Protective Effect of TCM Herbal Extracts Treating High Glucose Induced Retinal Pigment Epithelial Cell Injury
摘要
Abstract
The occurrence and development of diabetes retinopathy(DR)is closely related to the retinal pigment epithelium(RPE)in-jury,and high glucose environment can aggravate RPE injury through oxidative stress,inflammatory reaction,cell apoptosis and ferropto-sis.Traditional Chinese herbal medicine extracts such as Huangqi(Astragalus membranaceus),Jianghuang(Curcuma longa),Danshen(Salvia miltiorrhiza),Danggui(Angelica sinensis),Yinxingye(Ginkgo biloba leaf),Shihu(Dendrobium officinale),etc.can protect RPE cells from high glucose damage and improve DR efficacy through mechanisms such as antioxidant,anti-inflammatory,anti-apop-tosis,inhibition of ferroptosis,anti pyroptosis,and promotion of autophagy,with broad application prospects.However,there existing the following issues in modern researches:most traditional Chinese medicine extracts have complex components,and the key active ingredi-ents and their mechanisms of action are not yet clear;there is a lack of in-depth exploration of the protective mechanisms of various traditional Chinese medicine extracts on RPE;Existing research has mostly focused on the antioxidant,anti-inflammatory,and anti-apoptotic mechanisms of traditional Chinese medicine extracts,while there is relatively little research on the regulatory mechanisms of ferroptosis,autophagy,and cell pyroptosis.In the future,it is necessary to further clarify the specific targets and pathways of traditional Chinese medicine extracts in intervening in RPE injury,especially the mechanisms of anti pyroptosis and inhibition of ferroptosis,to make up for the shortcomings of traditional therapies and provide a basis for the development of new traditional Chinese medicine prepa-rations.关键词
