Wang Yuefen Treating Diabetic Kidney Disease with Yiqi Yangyin Tongluo Method Based on"State-Target Syndrome Differentiation"

Abstract
In conjunction with the academic ideas and clinical experiences of Academician Tong Xiaolin regarding"state-target syn-drome differentiation",Wang Yuefen found that in the mid-stage of diabetic kidney disease,the primary states are characterized by"deficiency"and"stasis".The syndrome differentiation mostly corresponds to"deficiency of Qi and Yin as well as obstruction of Kidney collaterals by stasis",with key symptom targets including turbid urine,fatigue,dry mouth,and pain in the lower back and knees.The main symptom targets are proteinuria and elevated blood creatinine levels,indicating renal function damage.A targeting approach named Baoshen Formula Ⅱ was proposed,employing methods to invigorate Qi,nourish Yin and unblock collaterals.The formula includes Sheng-huangqi(Raw astragalus membranaceus)and Shoudihuang(Radix rehmanniae praeparata)to invigorate Qi and nourish Yin.In the formula,Shengdihuang(Rehmannia glutinosa),Gouqizi(Fructus Lycii),Nüzhenzi(Fructus ligustri lucidi)and Digupi(Cortex lycii radicis)can nourish the Yin of Liver and Kidney,collectively addressing the"deficiency"state of patient;Danshen(Salvia miltiorrhi-za),Shuizhi(Sanguisuge),Liujiyu(Artemisia anomala)and Guijianyu(Ramuli euonymi)can invigorate blood and unblock collater-als,simultaneously enhancing Qi and Yin,and promoting blood circulation and relieving collateral unblocking,which effectively allevi-ates the clinical symptoms of the disease.Furthermore,through analysis of the components and mechanisms of the targeting medicines combined with preliminary experiments,Baoshen Formula Ⅱ can reduce proteinuria and blood creatinine levels through microscopic"targeting",effectively inhibiting the formation of advanced glycation end-products,preventing podocyte injury,and protecting kidney function,thus achieving a simultaneous adjustment of the state and the target.关键词
