Abstract
Peanut is an important oil-bearing and cash crop in China.Hilling is a common manage-ment measure in the field production,whereas there are few studies on the effects of hilling on the growth and development of peanut.The effects of hilling time and depth on the agronomic traits and pod yield of peanut have not been reported.In this experiment,a split plot design was adopted,with 2 hilling times and 4 hilling depths.The changes of peanut growth characteristics and pod yield under different hilling patterns were systematically studied.The results showed that the hilling depth,hill-ing time,interaction of hilling time × hilling depth all affected the vegetative growth of peanut plant,while the hilling time,interaction of hilling time×hilling depth had relatively less effect on the repro-ductive growth.The different hilling depth treatments both inhibited the main stem height and lateral branch length,increased the taproot length,and increased the number of needles as well as the num-ber of fruits per plant,and the effects were the best,particularly the pod yield was the highest when the hilling depth was 1.0 cm.About the hilling time,treatment on 0-2 days after sowing could realize the construction of high-yield population and increase the peanut pod yield.关键词
