Evaluation and Screening of Storage Tolerance Indexes for Peanuts

Abstract
To investigate the storage tolerance of different peanut varieties and establish a storage tolerance evaluation model to obtain key indicators for storage tolerance identification can provide im-portant theoretical basis for screening peanut germplasm and breeding new varieties with high storage tolerance.In this study,24 different genotypes of peanuts were selected as experimental materials.After storing at room temperature for 90 days,the protein content,oil content,oleic acid content,lin-oleic acid,total sugar content,sucrose,fructose,and intact kernel rate,totally 8 quality related indi-cators were measured.Statistical methods such as storage tolerance coefficients,principal component analysis,membership function analysis,and hierarchical cluster analysis were used to comprehensive-ly evaluate the storage tolerance of peanuts.The research results showed that the storage tolerance co-efficient of intact kernel rate decreased compared with that before storage,and there were differences in various indicators among different varieties/genotypes.Through cluster analysis,the storage toler-ance of peanut seeds was divided into strong,medium,and weak categories,with 5 varieties exhibited strong storage tolerance,9 varieties showed medium storage tolerance,and 10 varieties were non-tol-erant to storage.Through stepwise regression analysis,linoleic acid content,fructose content,and in-tact kernel rate were identified as key indicators for evaluating the storage tolerance of peanut seeds,and a regression equation could be used to calculate the comprehensive evaluation D value to predict peanut storage tolerance.This study contributed important theoretical and practical significance for optimizing peanut seed management,prolonging storage time,and ensuring food safety.关键词
