摘要

Abstract

The root reason of L80 tubing corrosion perforation failure in an offshore filed was investiga-ted.On basis of the survey of operation history and macroscopic morphology inspection,chemical composition analysis,microstructure observation and hardness of failure tubing were evaluated.Scan-ning electrochemical microscopy(SEM),energy dispersive spectrometer(EDS)and X-ray diffrac-tometer(XRD)were used to analyse the corrosion morphology and corrosion products composition.Weight loss experiments were carried out in autoclave.The results show that corrosion products typi-cally have two layers of structure,which impacts tubing corrosion mechanism.The outer layer corro-sion products are FeCO3.However,the inner layer corrosion products are also with small amount of Fe3S4.The failure tubing has undergone CO2/H2S corrosion.The preferential damage characteristics is due to the inclination of the downhole tubing.The perforation failure of tubing is mainly caused by CO2 corrosion,and uniform corrosion is remarkably accelerated by presence of small amount of H2S.The deposited FeCO3 induces under deposit corrosion(UDC),which cooperates with the high concen-tration of chloride ions leading to localized corrosion.
