Effects of Three Plant Growth Regulators on Stalk Traits and Grain Yield of Wheat

Abstract
We set up four treatments in the field experiment for two consecutive years including blank control(CK),chlormequat chloride(T1),uniconazole(T2),and prohexadione calcium(T3).Compared and analyzed the agronomic traits,yield and its components of wheat in each treatment.The results showed that the three plant growth regulators could increase the SPAD value,the dry weight of the above-ground part of a single plant,the panicle length,the diameter of the subpanicle node,the diameter of the inverted second node and the diameter of the stem base of wheat,and reduce the length of the subpanicle node,the length of the inverted second node and the length of the stem base node.The yields of T1~T3 were all higher than that of CK.The wheat yield was increased by 6.7%,11.0%and 12.3%in 2021,8.3%,9.2%,and 13.0%in 2022,meanwhile,the three elements of yield were also improved.Effective panicles respectively reached 6.204 million/hm2,5.35 million/hm2,and 6.06 million/hm2 in 2021,6.208 million/hm2,5.746 million/hm2 and 6.126 million/hm2 in 2022,with an increase of 3.2%~13.8%.Among the three growth regulators,prohexadione calcium showed significant differences in all indicators compared to the control,and the correlation between yield and its components was presented as effective panicles>grains per spike>thousand-grain weight.Therefore,spraying prohexadione calcium during the jointing stage of wheat can increase the SPAD value and aboveground dry weight of wheat plants at subsequent growth periods.At the maturity stage,wheat yield was increased significantly by improving the number of effective panicles,grains per spike,and enhancing their correlation with yield.关键词
